Audible has long had a dedicated and passionate fanbase but the conversation around audiobooks, audio programs, voice and listening lacked in comparison. In 2015 I helped Audible launch its own branded content practice and built a platform for facilitation, Audible Range. With Audible offering such a beloved product, our primary task wasn’t to create brand awareness as much as it was to spark dialogue around listening as a category.
My goal was to design a new platform that could house editorial-driven work that spanned from brand announcements to original reporting. To build a foundation for the platform, I started with creating standards and guidelines that related to the Audible brand but branched out to reflect the spirit of this new initiative.
